Trains & Things

I found these shots from last fall. Another photography friend and I found this little secret off the beaten path of 26E, Charleston, SC. These train cars were at one time a home. They were abandoned after, hurricane Hugo in 1989. A few yards behind was a skate park a few dedicated skaters had constructed and continued to build on to. They used pieces of debris from torn down buildings and upturned parking lot asphalt - then brought their own concrete mix to smooth out and direct their courses. Both were truly a magical places. Now the cars have been moved to a place in North Carolina to be restored to how they once were! I'm very excited to see the finished product… What a memory.
