First Day Trip Of 2014

    January 19th, 2014

Its a new year! Saturday, I found my self wandering around town. I was in desperate need of fresh scenery. I decided to venture towards Georgetown. I stopped, passed through & got lost in various little towns including, Awendaw & McClellanville, South Carolina. It was starting to get dark by the time I found the main road -- needless to say I didn't make it all the way to Georgetown. There will be other day trips to this area though. I barely skimmed the service of the vast beauty that part of the South poses.

One of my stopped included the, Hampton Plantation.

2180 West Fair Ave. Lancaster, Ohio

My Childhood Play Ground

Our first Weinheimer was, Anika. She too was an amazing protector and nurturer

First time I got to drive :)

Claire and I years later still dipping our feet into that amazing pond.

The drive way to the house was .75 of a mile from the road. the house sat in the middle of 39 acres of farm land and long grass fields. A creek went through the entrance that had a bridge built over it. I would spend hours catching fish, crawdads, all kinds of things :)

This was taken after my dedication. I grew up with big dogs... Van Gogh's mother bit his ear off as a puppy, hence the name Van Gogh - his personality was to batt. A great protector though.

The staircase was amazing, and yes, i got in trouble for sliding down the banister many times.

This is me when we first moved in to the farm house. I was 6 - Claire was brought home in the same 2 weeks we moved in.

Mrs. Bigham. Hands down the biggest influence of my life.

View from my bedroom window

Claire's dedication was at the farm. We loved that pond.

Development :(

I loved the lofts in the old barns on the property. This is Mrs. Bigham's (our neighbor) loft. Old type writers and vintaged childrens toys... covered the floor.

My grandmother and her aunt... These were some pretty special women to me. Grandma recited the Word of God while she left this world to be with her Father, in Heaven.

Claire, my sister

My grandfather :) Mom's dad. Only grandparent still with us. His mind is sharp and he can still fix anything. Easter sunday.

Easter Sundays looked so much different in the early 90's :)

I hold his picture close. She was an amazing woman who touched lives of many. Her daughter, my mother, walks in the same path as Grandma Jean

Four Generations. Breakfast's with this group... How i miss that.

My dad's mom, Grandma La Porte. She is missed.

Daddy and grandma La Porte

Grandparents day at Faith Christian Academy

Front door to my childhood home looks different than I remember but still... Thankful the house still stands.

Every summer we helped grandma and grandpa collect and prep black walnuts for drying.

My handsome Father

Tried a hand at modeling. I decided I belonged behind the lens instead.

This is what I saw every morning and night. Magical place.
